Matthew Brunner, MD, is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care within the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the UW Carbone Cancer Center and is the program director of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
In addition to his role as program director of the fellowship, Dr. Brunner is active in a variety of educational roles with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and the UW Internal Medicine residency. He participated in the ASH Medical Educator Institute and is always on the lookout for new innovative educational opportunities.
Outside of his professional duties, Dr. Brunner can be found running (slowly) around Madison's various parks and forests, and has a second full-time job driving his children to their sports.
Dr. Brunner's clinical focus is multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders. He also specializes in autologous stem cell transplant for relapsed germ cell tumors and TIL therapy for relapsed melanoma.
