Professional Activities

Dr. Sarah Ahrens is a faculty member in the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. She is active in medical student and resident teaching, serving as the director of the Inpatient Acting Internship for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UW SMPH), the director of Phase 3 curriculum for the Department of Medicine, and as Vice Chair of the Student Performance and Review Committee (SPARC) for UW SMPH. Dr. Ahrens is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and is a recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. She has also received the Department of Medicine Schilling-Harkness Teaching Award, the Department of Medicine Grossman-Page Professionalism Award, the Division of Hospital Medicine’s Teaching Award, the Division of Hospital Medicine's Exemplary Service Award and the Professionalism Award from the Department of Medicine housestaff.
