Jarjour Lab

Nizar Jarjour, MDDr. Nizar Jarjour leads an integrated translational research program focused on asthma mechanisms and therapy. The role of eosinophils in allergic airway inflammation and remodeling has been a long-standing interest and a focus for his laboratory for over two decades; and is funded by a  Program Project Grant from the National Heart, Blood and Lung institute.  Additional research efforts underway as  part of the NIH-funded Severe Asthma Research Program include a longitudinal study of patients with severe asthma. His research has led to more than 125 peer-reviewed papers over the past two decades, most recently averaging more than 800 citations annually.
