Department of Medicine (DOM) Education Day is a full-day, in-person event held annually at the Health Sciences Learning Center (HSLC) featuring Grand Rounds, professional development workshops, and interactive lunch activities.
The event is relevant to faculty and staff at all career stages—everyone is encouraged to attend and participate!

Education Day 2026
Education Day 2026 will take place on February 27, 2026.
The featured Grand Rounds speaker will be Richard Wardrop, III, MD, PhD, MACP, SFHM, FAAP.

Education Posters
All DOM faculty, staff, trainees, and students are invited to present posters about their educational projects at DOM Education Day. We encourage submissions for posters previously presented at other conferences and posters that are newly developed for Education Day.
- Submission Process
To submit your poster, fill out this form before January 16, 2026 with:
- Your name
- Name(s) of your collaborators/co-presenters
- Title or topic of your poster
- Abstract OR brief description of how your poster connects to education research/education innovation
- Review Process
All eligible abstract submissions will be reviewed by members of the Education Committee. The following will be taken into consideration when evaluating poster submissions:
- Relevance and significance to the field of medical education is demonstrated
- Innovative solutions, technologies, or approaches to medical education are apparent
- Required Poster Size and Specifications
All posters are required to be 48" wide x 36" tall with a 1" border.
- Designing and Printing Posters
There is a Department of Medicine-branded template for all posters. It uses consistent colors, logos and layouts in line with campus brand standards.
