The Department of Medicine is committed to creating belonging for all faculty, staff, and trainees. Our Social Impact and Belonging Committee advises on how to intentionally create and promote this environment, and how to disseminate information on achieving a vision of healthy people and healthy communities.

Eligibility

  • 10-15 members, including an ex officio member.
  • At least one representative from administration, one from staff and two from learners.

Terms and seat availability

  • Each member serves for a term of three years with an annual review and can serve for up to two terms (don’t need to be consecutive).
  • Terms and reviews are done in July annually.

Expectations

  • Advise committee and committee chair on priority goals. 
  • Attend, participate and engage in discussion during quarterly meetings to advise and monitor the implementation of the priority goals.
  • Serve as liaison between their division and the Committee regarding communication of priority goals.
  • Liaise for a division not represented on the committee.
