The QI/Patient Safety Committee promotes and advances the Department of Medicine's QI and patient safety initiatives. It recommends QI initiatives that will improve the quality of care provided and optimize patient experience while promoting a supportive environment fostered in the principles of honesty, transparency, accountability, and professionalism.

Meetings: Quarterly; fall and spring/summer are in person and winter is virtual.

Eligibility

  • Designated QI lead in the division, usually nominated by division chief.

Terms and seat availability

  • Permanent committee members with a designated role in their division: rotation and appointment are designated by division chief.
  • Ad-Hoc /rotating members: up to two three-year consecutive terms.
  • Next seat is available July 2027 by nomination or appointment rotation.
