The Education Committee advances the educational missions of the Department of Medicine. It guides and supports the development, recognition, and promotion of educators; liaisons with divisions to facilitate the dissemination of information about programs and services available to residents and fellows; promotes innovative curriculum development, educational leadership, community, and scholarship; and is committed to social impact and belonging in membership, programming, curriculum development, and funding.

Eligibility
Educator or staff supporting education with expressed interest in becoming a member of the committee. Interested members should submit a summary of intent and APP candidates should include a letter of support from their division administrator or supervisor.
Terms and seat availability
- May serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.
- New terms begin annually on July 1.
Expectations
Attend monthly meetings, provide peer review for assistant professors giving Grand Rounds, notify faculty of national opportunities in education, assist in planning and implementing the annual DOM Education Day and join the Educator Academy.
