Events and Workshops

The Department of Medicine holds several year-round events and workshops in support of our research mission.

Our annual Research Day offers engaging presentations by expert speakers, and showcases the work of our junior faculty and learners through poster presentations.

Every year, we offer two workshop series in research administration: Introduction to Research 101 and Introduction to Research 201. These multi-lecture workshops provide research faculty and staff with the information they need to successfully apply for grants and manage research projects.

We also offer a highly rated, one-day grant writing workshop every other year.

Finally, we hold an annual Shapiro Scholar lecture series for medical students participating in research through the UW School of Medicine and Public Health's Shapiro Summer Research Program.
