The Department of Medicine is committed to creating belonging for all faculty, staff, and trainees. Our Belonging and Well-being Committee advises on how to intentionally create and promote this environment, and how to disseminate information on achieving a vision of healthy people and healthy communities.

Eligibility

  • 10-15 members, including an ex officio member.
  • At least one representative from administration, one from staff and two from learners.

Terms and seat availability

  • Each member serves for a term of three years with an annual review and can serve for up to two terms (don’t need to be consecutive).
  • Terms and reviews are done in July annually.

Expectations

  • Advise committee and committee chair on priority goals. 
  • Attend, participate and engage in discussion during quarterly meetings to advise and monitor the implementation of the priority goals.
  • Serve as liaison between their division and the Committee regarding communication of priority goals.
  • Liaise for a division not represented on the committee.

Members
