2016 Reunion

Give Today

Celebrating a Quarter Century of Leadership:
UW Department of Medicine Housestaff Reunion
May 20-21, 2016

The first-ever reunion was a great success and a wonderful opportunity for friends and former colleagues to catch up, make new memories, and reconnect with the Department of Medicine. Over 110 alumni who had completed their residency training as long ago as 1971 and as recently as 2015 gathered in honor of Dr. Bennett Vogelman to celebrate his 25-plus years of service directing the program.

Dr. Vogelman is still going strong as the longest-serving program director in the nation, and his influence on both his trainees and the field of medical education has been profound. To hear the impact of the educational philosophy developed under his leadership, listen to current and former residents in their own words:

Support the Internal Medicine Residency Program Endowment

There’s still time for you to show your gratitude for Dr. Vogelman's leadership by contributing to the Internal Medicine Residency Program Endowment, which has been named in his honor. This permanent endowment will forever support important projects and initiatives that will enhance the residency program: continuing education, research projects, education initiatives, project development, salary support, and more. It will also provide an endowed faculty position, which is critical for the future recruitment and retention of the very best faculty members so that the excellence of the program continues into the future.
