From Bench to Bedside

Whether in the laboratory or at the computer, researchers at the University of Wisconsin Department of Medicine tackle some of the most vexing problems in medicine.

They lead programs to investigate the cellular and molecular underpinnings of disease, assess new therapies and tests, and improve the effectiveness of health care systems.

Research Training

Our Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) provides MD/PhD graduates with condensed clinical training in internal medicine and the trainee's future subspecialty, followed by postdoctoral research training.

We also offer National Institutes of Health-funded T32 training grants that provide formal research training for predoctoral and postdoctoral students.
