Professional Activities

Suzanne M. Norby, MD, is the Flesch Family Faculty Fellow in Kidney Transplant Research and the chief of the Division of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine. The focus of her academic career and scholarly activity has been in medical education administration, with multiple leadership positions along the continuum of medical education. She has served on the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Training Program Directors Executive Committee, chaired the ASN In-training Exam Test Item Development Committee, and currently serves as chair of the ASN Continuous Professional Development Committee and on the ASN Executive Committee. Dr. Norby has received several awards for excellence in teaching from the medical students, residents and fellows at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. She is fellow of The American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Norby's clinical interests include general nephrology, hemodialysis, long-term care of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients and evaluations of potential kidney donors and recipients.
