Professional Activities

Dr. Erin Lowery is a faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care within the Department of Medicine. She serves as the Medical Director of the Lung Transplant program and Associate Medical Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Program at UW Health. Dr. Lowery was selected as a steering committee member for the national Cystic Fibrosis Lung Transplant Consortium from 2017-2020 and has been involved in the development of care guidelines, policies, and research impacting the field for patients with lung transplant and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Lowery has served as a moderator and been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences including the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Lowery’s clinical expertise includes providing complex care to patients with advanced lung disease and lung transplant, cystic fibrosis and non-CF bronchiectasis. She is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, critical care and pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Lowery’s research interests include outcomes in cystic fibrosis and lung transplant, as well as the clinical and immunologic consequences of alcohol and substance use on patients with lung disease.
