Professional Activities

Dr. Holland is currently serving as an associate program director of the University of Wisconsin Internal Medicine Residency Program, and is a clinician educator at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. Honors and awards received by Dr. Holland include the Ambulatory Teaching Award for excellence in outpatient resident education, the Professionalism Award, the Resident Teaching Award, and the Glassroth-Evans Department of Medicine Award for excellence in resident and medical student education. He has been awarded medical education grant funding to develop quality improvement online curricula and to study teamwork and communication in simulated acute situations.

Dr. Holland has published scholarly articles and presented research on medical education, quality improvement, and patient safety.
