Professional Activities

Dr. Vanessa Rein is a faculty member in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism within the Department of Medicine. She is the medical director for the UW Health outpatient diabetes and endocrine clinics and oversees the inpatient diabetes and endocrine consultative services. She is also the physican lead for the UW Health Diabetes Quality Committee, which focuses on improving the quality and safety of care for inpatients with diabetes. In addition, Dr. Rein is a longitudinal teaching coach at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, a role in which she teaches and mentors medical students throughout all phases of their medical education. She is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Rein has clinical interests in diabetes, thyroid disease and the management of pituitary tumors.
