Dr. Anne O'Connor is a faculty member in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty at UW-Madison, she was a faculty member at the University of Chicago. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology (in which she serves on the Women in Cardiology Committee, as a contributor to the American College of Cardiology Lifelong Learner Portfolio, and University of Wisconsin representative to the National Cardiovascular Data Registry), the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the National Lipid Association. She routinely delivers lectures to fellows and residents on cardiology core curricula and mentors medical students on daily rounding. Dr. O'Connor serves as Director of UW Health Inpatient Cardiovascular Medicine Service, Director of Quality for UW Health Cardiovascular Medicine Service, and as a member of the AMI Work Group. She completed the UW Medical Foundation Physician Leadership Development Program, and serves on the UW Health Critical Care Committee and Core Measures Work Group.
Dr. O'Connor's clinical interests include critical cardiology, reducing readmissions for heart failure and acute myocardial infarct patients, and cardiovascular imaging.
