PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES 

Dr. Barry Fox is a faculty member in the Division of Infectious Disease within the Department of Medicine. He is a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society Legislative Committee; a fellow of the Society for Health Care Epidemiology of American (SHEA); and a fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America, and a member of its Emerging Infectious Disease Network. Dr. Fox is the director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at UW Hospitals and Clinics and the chairman of the Infection Control Committee at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He has been a Madison Magazine’s “Top Docs” and Best Doctors in America selection multiple times. 

CLINICAL SPECIALTIES 

Dr. Fox’s is an infectious disease specialist with special interests in appropriate antimicrobial utilization at University of Wisconsin hospitals, infections in immunocompromised hosts, travel medicine and nosocomial infections.
