Dr. David Feldstein is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He is the Director of the General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program Member - National Board of Medical Examiners USMLE Scientific Abstracts Test Material Development Committee. Dr. Feldstein been involved in teaching and advancing Evidence- Based Medicine. He has taught at McMaster University’s prestigious “How to Teach Evidence-Based Clinical Practice” workshop and served as the Chair of the Society of General Internal Medicine Task Force and Co-Chair of the Society of General Internal Medicine Evidence-Based Practice Interest Group. Dr. Feldstein is the Co-Chair of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality’s (WCHQ) Measurement Advisory Committee. Dr. Feldstein is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of General Internal medicine and serves as a Journal Reviewer for Medical Education, Journal of General Internal Medicine, JAMA, and BMC Medical Education.

Dr. Feldstein’s research interests include implementation science with a focus on clinical decision support and educational research. He is a Principal Investigator or Site Principal Investigator for NIH and PCORI grants focusing on Decreasing Antibiotic Prescribing in Acute Respiratory Infections through Implementation of Nurse Driven Clinical Decision Support and Education Center-Wisconsin and Disseminating Child Abuse Clinical Decision Support to Improve Detection, Evaluation, and Reporting. Dr. Feldstein is also a recipient of a University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health – Institutional Clinical and Translational Science Award (UW-Madison) (KL2)
