CLINICAL SCIENCE CENTERDr. Amanda Parkes is a faculty member in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Parkes is highly invested in medical education at all levels, and she serves as Associate Program Director, University of Wisconsin Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship program. During her fellowship she received the Jesse H. Jones Fellowship in Cancer Education, an Endowed fellowship award presented to a clinical fellow at the University of Texas – MD Anderson Cancer Center demonstrating potential for excellence in and unique contribution to cancer education. She was also recently selected for the 2020-2021 American Society of Clinical Oncology Education Scholars Program.
Dr. Parkes’ clinical interests include breast cancer, sarcoma, and medical oncology.

Dr. Parkes’ research interests include novel treatments for sarcoma and breast cancer patients. She additionally has a strong interest in the study of adolescent and young adult patients with cancer to improve care for these patients. Finally, she has ongoing research interests in the most effective ways to provide medical education to trainees.
