Clinical Training

The primary goal of the Fellowship in Infectious Disease is to provide comprehensive training in the natural history, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the wide range of infectious diseases encountered both in inpatient and outpatient practice, including the increasing numbers of recently described infectious disease syndromes. We aim to assist the trainee in acquiring the knowledge base, cognitive skills, and humanistic attributes to be an effective consultant and, where necessary, assume responsibility for continuing care of complex patients.
