This monthly interdisciplinary activity is intended for faculty, fellows, residents, pharmacists, APPs, and those interested in current infectious disease topics.

Sessions discuss the breadth of current, high-impact infectious disease research applicable to the current/potential scope of practice of the target audience. Speakers include current UW faculty members and hosted guest speakers from other institutions.

Attendees can claim the following credits from ID Grand Rounds: MOC: ABIM Medical Knowledge Points (Part II), MOC: ABP Lifelong Learning Points (Part II), AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, ANCC Contact Hours, ANCC Pharmacotherapy Contact Hours, University of Wisconsin–Madison Continuing Education Hours.

Our division thrives on collaboration. We encourage faculty and fellows to participate in any partner conference that aligns with their interests.

• Transplant ID conference. Held weekly with the inpatient transplant ID team and other interested faculty and staff. Activities include journal club, acute cases of interest, research and QI presentations and discussion, and updates on current transplant-related topics and protocols.
• UW Health Stewardship Meeting. Held weekly and provides guidance to providers across the entire university system and at the VA Hospital.
• Medical Microbiology and Immunology Seminars. Held weekly to facilitate interaction with scientists throughout the UW community. Located at the Microbial Science Building and hosted by the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology.
• Global Health Seminars. Held monthly and open to all faculty, staff, and trainees. Topics focus on health equity, ethics, and systems on the global scale; tropical medicine and the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Microbiology Rounds. Held weekly for additional education in microbiologic techniques. Pathology residents present on current samples in the laboratory.
• Infection Control Committee Meeting. Large monthly committee meetings and weekly small-group meetings are held at UW Health and at the VA Hospital.
