Each resident is allotted a yearly $300 education fund for textbooks and journal subscriptions, plus a discount at the University Book Store. Parking is available adjacent to each hospital. All residents have three weeks of vacation that may be taken as one-, two-, or three-week blocks. Additional time is granted for military training. Maternity and paternity leaves are available. Residents are allowed seven days per year to attend medical meetings or conferences.
During the second year of training, residents apply to the State of Wisconsin Medical Examining Board for licensure. Once licensed, our residents may moonlight.
