Investigational Medication Study (KIA)

The purpose of this research study is to find out if imatinib (study medication) helps treat asthma. We are testing this medication to see if it helps reduce inflammation (swelling) in the airways when it is taken as an add-on treatment. When your airway is inflamed, your asthma can get worse. Add-on treatment means that imatinib will be given in addition to your regular asthma medications.
