Professional Activities

Dr. Daniel Cole is a faculty member in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine. He also serves as Aerospace Flight Commander Physician in the Critical Care Transport Team at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Cole’s clinical specialties include all aspects of pulmonary and critical care medicine (including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, and malignant and benign pleural disease). He is an expert in the placement of chronic indwelling pleural catheters (PleurX), electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy (SuperDimension, Veran) and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). Dr. Cole also specializes in diagnostic testing and management of sleep disorders.
