Dr. Edward Lalik received his DO from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ in 2004. During his residency, he worked as a stadium physician at football games for the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Arizona Cardinals at Sun Devil Stadium. In 2004 he was also a Life Support Unit Physician at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. From 2004 to 2008, he practiced hospital medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Lalik joined the UW Health Division of Hospital Medicine faculty as both a hospitalist and Clinical Assistant Professor in 2008.
He is an active member of the Division of Hospital Medicine's Leadership Core Committee as well as the Department of Medicine's Medical Performance Group. He previously served on the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics (UWHC) Respiratory Therapy Committee and Hospitalist Clinical Care Committee. Dr. Lalik was the Domain Leader of Hospital Medicine Clinical Services from 2009 to 2011. He has developed numerous policies and protocols, both at the UWHC and other UW Health facilities, including a patient satisfaction policy and a UW Health bladder management protocol.
His professional interests include patient satisfaction and quality improvement.
