Professional Activities

Dr. Jessica Young is a faculty member of the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Young is highly active in medical education, serving as a longitudinal teacher coach (LTC) in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). In this role she teaches UWSMPH medical students Forward clinical skills, facilitating case-based learning (Patient Centered Education Cases-PACE), coaching, and completing Competency Reviews on assigned medical students and participating in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Young’s clinical interests include rehabilitation services and education for patients recovering from an injury or illness. She also serves as a floating physician in primary care clinics.
