Professional Activities

Dr. Edward Dunbar is a faculty member in the Division of Hospital Medicine within the Department of Medicine. As a hospitalist, Dr. Dunbar focuses on providing care to adult patients in inpatient settings, with additional focus on bedside ultrasonography and procedures. He has conducted QI and public health studies on topics such as improving the safety and efficiency of hospital-to-hospital transfers, and the impact of community health programs for diabetes management. Dr. Dunbar holds certification in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support, and has received certification by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in improvement capability.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Dunbar’s clinical interests include hospital medicine and internal medicine. Clinical procedures of interest include lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
