Professional Activities

Dr. Roderick Deaño is a faculty member of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty of UW-Madison, he was a clinical research fellow in the Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging at Weill Cornell Medical College. He is a member of the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and the American Society of Echocardiography, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Deaño has received the American College of Cardiology FIT Travel Award. He serves as Co-Director of Cardiac Computed Tomography.

Clinical Specialties

Dr. Deaño's medical interests include cardiovascular medicine including training in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac computed tomography, and vascular ultrasound.

Research Interests

Dr. Deaño has conducted clinical studies on cardiac computed tomography methods and has published case studies and analyses on quality assurance topics in cardiovascular medicine.
