Professional Activities

Dr. Mary Pak is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. Dr. Pak’s focus is population health and utilization management as it relates to patients’ health insurance coverage. She participates with several local and national payer groups including Wisconsin Association of Health Plans (WAHP), National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP) Oncology Executive Leadership Committee and the America’s Health Insurance Plans’ Integrated Delivery System workgroup. She also serves on the UW Health Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee and the Technology Assessment Committee as well as numerous payer care management committees, including Utilization Management and Technology Assessment Committee, Credentialing Committee, Population Health Executive Committee, Quality Improvement Committee and the Executive Quality Improvement Committee.

Dr. Pak is a journal reviewer for the American Journal of Managed Care and has been an abstract reviewer for the American College of Physicians Annual Meeting. She is a member of numerous professional societies including America’s Health Insurance Plans, the National Association of Managed Care Physicians, and the American College of Physician Executives. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
