Dr. Melissa Meredith obtained her MD at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1988. She then completed a residency in internal medicine as well as a fellowship in the section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC). She joined the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as a Clinical Instructor in 1993. She also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 1995 to 2001.
Dr. Meredith started her current position as an Associate Professor of Medicine in 2001. She serves Medical Director of both the UWHC Diabetes Management Services and the UW Clinical Diabetes Center. She is also part of the Attending Medical Staff at the UWHC William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital. Dr. Meredith is past- president of the Wisconsin chapter of the American Diabetes Association. She is a member of the UWHC and Navitus Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees. Dr. Meredith is also chair of both the UWHC Inpatient Diabetes Quality Committee and the UW Health Diabetes Primary Care Initiative. Dr. Meredith's interests include diagnosis and management of diabetes mellitus, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitoring and clinical research in type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
