Dr Andes Research Main Page

David Andes, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He is Head of the Division of Infectious Disease and Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program. The focus of Dr. Andes' research programs involves identification of strategies to combat antimicrobial (especially antifungal) drug resistance. Study approaches include defining the molecular basis for drug resistance, drug target development, pharmacodynamic investigation, and clinical trial study of resistance epidemiology.
