David Wissler Award

David Wissler Memorial Research Competition

David Wissler was a wonderful man who was a valued member of this division for many years.  After his untimely death in 1987, his family endowed a prize for educational activities in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

We would like to invite all Internal Medicine post graduate trainees who are participating in clinical research with GI/Hepatology Faculty to present their research at the David Wissler Memorial Research Competition to be held on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 3:30 - 6:30 pm in room 1220 in the Medical Foundation Centennial Building.

Research must be recent.  It can be published in abstract form or could have been presented (in the past or future) at a major medical society meeting.  However, research projects that have already been published in manuscript form in a journal are not eligible for presentation.

The time for presentation will be 10 minutes with a 5 minute follow-up question and answer session.

There will be a prize of $250 per award and a certificate of achievement.

Please contact Paula Detra at pmdetra@medicine.wisc.edu if you wish to participate.
